What do you get when you mix coconut oil with pureed dates, peanut butter and raw cocoa powder? An amazingly delicious, decadent, healthy, raw vegan gluten free guilt-free dessert!!! The reality is, many chocolate based treats are made with lots of processed fat and sugar, which add to your waistline and also mess with your blood sugar... not ideal…not to mention the fact that the baking chocolate typically used has been heated and all of its raw nutrient rich anti oxidant power has been stripped away. Try this recipe using the raw unadulterated chocolate - rich in antioxidants that will neutralize free radicals in your body - and you will be surprised not only at how easy it is to make but also what a great substitute it can be for your usual go-to not-so guilt free dessert. 

1 cup coconut oil
1 cup unsalted peanut butter
2 cups raw cocoa
1 cup dates (pitted)
pinch sea salt

Soak dates in hot water for 10-20 minutes until softened. Melt oil and peanut butter over double boiler. Add dates to blender and puree into paste. Add nut butter/oil mix, followed by cocoa and salt and blend until well combined. Press into square brownie pan and allow to chill for 30 minuted before slicing into squares.
