Charlestown's Whole Foods Health Eating Coordinator Hannah Grenier joined our Art of Healthy Eating series at Good Shepherd School this week to teach the kids how to make vibrant colorful heart and star stamps out of yellow and red beets. The children learned about the special nutritional qualities of this root vegetable, which happens to gets rich pigment from an antioxidant known as betacyanin, a powerful agent which has been linked to suppress the development of some cancers. Great way to connect with the kids at home and make Valentines right out of the kitchen!
