I had the pleasure of joining my daughter Marlo's class this morning to offer a healthy "Art of Healthy Eating" class where we made fruit turkeys to celebrate the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday. We talked for a few minutes about the importance of eating the rainbow everyday to be healthy and strong and also how each different color fruit and vegetable represents different vitamins and nutrients that are so good for our growing bodies. Art-meets-health-meets-snack time. The kids had a blast - arranging various fruit slices around a pear half. They came up with creative exotic looking birds - and could not wait to eat their art work!!
